Want to share my special day with you all सखियाँ .. सत्यनारायण कथा at our place today followed by dinner(प्रसाद ) with our near and dear ones in Chicago .. it was a very busy day attending around 90 guests .. but still towards the end of the day feeling content, happy and satisfied !!Super tiered .. But I could not stop myself from clicking some for our #sareespeak it's selfie mode with timer for me .. its too late for asking Hubby dear or my 15 yr old to click for me !! they are going to think I am crazy.. little they know doing crazy things like this is what keeps me going ..

A pink and red shaded georgette which plays with the light to show both colors with a blend.. I love the intricate Golden broad border work and the beautiful embroidery throughout the saree ! Was waiting to wear this one for quite some time since I bought it in my last India trip in Tatanagar .. so did not even care to wait to get the orange blouse stitched that came with the saree but wore another pink one .. and I think it goes pretty well.. some पूजा pics ans साड़ी सखी pics in comments .. thanks to my special ones to be there for our कथा !! Good times ..

At a dear friend’s पूजा today wore this beautiful embroidered half and half saree in net and art silk with a border that is one of my best collections till date more details of the saree will post in comments.

My first post in the sareespeak FB group .. this is from my India visit 2018 dec.. a beautiful chiffon laheriya green saree gifted to me by my mother in law .. this earthy green brings out the mother nature in its full .. I visited rajasthan (churu) my sasuraal and some pic of my trip here are indeed worth a thousand words..

“I am proud of the woman I am today, because I went through one hell of a time becoming her.”

It was getting too hectic with balancing work and home past couple of days .. so just thought of taking it easy today.. it was raining heavily in the morning here in Chicago and as I started driving it was getting difficult to drive with water on the sides of the road splashing and my car swaying.. I came back home and did remote work today .. so much time was saved since I did not spent my time driving .. although I do enjoy my 90’s का music in full blast when I drive .. today evening I had enough time to sit back and relax .. sometimes you need to listen to the signals your mind and body are giving you!!!

Going down the memory lane of me wearing this saree and the happiness that exudes in this pic just got a smile and content to my mind.

This is one of my fav blue.. a dual shade of dark and sky blue in silk .. with golden lace work and border.. gifted to me by my dearest राजी and I added some laces to the आँचल to add a little zing to it !! यही है मेरा वाला blue !!

How much ever I try to be different in my pics .. it just does not work !! I see all the other posts and think wow .. I will try that pose sometime .. but लगता है अपना तो bad luck ही ख़राब है !! all my pics somehow look the same .. tried the slow mo today ... epic disaster .. it’s freezing in Chicago ..हिम्मत की .. without any jacket ..किसी तरह एक friend को मनाया ( new new friend made during छट्ठ celebrations ) कि slow motion में वीडियो ले लो प्लीज . background का tree and leaves आनेचाहिए .. somehow it did not get timed well.. some sound is there in the start and middle .. did not know how to fix it .. and then last में ek mohabbatein का पत्ता आकर मेरे सर पर रुक गया उफ़ यह खुद को heroine जैसे दिखना भी एक कला है sitting poseमें to zoomकरो toघर की चप्पल and need to be fixed nail colors भी दिख रहे है ..दूसरी में पेड़ के पत्ते का Colorsचाहिए था वह नहीं आया !!

I take super Good pics of others but as they say कबी कोई मेरी सही वाली पिक्चर लेगा ???? .. क्या नया try करू..?.. need to take lessons on how to teach others photography who can take my superb pics !!!
